New year Resolution

New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes.

What is your New Year Resolution???????

Same old resolutions to:
Lose Weight
Quit Smoking
Pay off Debts
Save More Money
Provide Better Income for Family
Spend More Quality Time with Family

Or Something Different?

Or maybe some business-related resolutions for the new year:

Cut Expenses
Increase enrolment
Improve Product Quality
Build relationship with Business Partner.
Reduce backlogs.

Well, they really aren't all that different, are they? We all vow each year to try harder to do the things we know we should do - get in better shape, physically, financially, emotionally.
Those of us who also are responsible for business units make similar promises to ourselves to do what we already know has to be done to improve the business.

Lets make a different resolution this year, which will relate to your personal & professional life.
My resolution 2011 : I want to be perfect in all aspect of my day to day life.

Fear of Try

I have interacted with many people and got to know a senti thing. Some People knows what to do, but they did not try to get that. This you can say the "scare of try" or "fear of try". If you know exactly what you want & the path to achieve it then why you are scaring to try it.

So many people have this type of silly problems. They fear with the word "Try". According to them "Try" means :  "You might not get what you want to achieve". They started doubting their own capabilities. My question to them is " If you will not try then you will not achieve, result will remain same, then why you are fearing of failure??? If you will not try then possibility of out come is zero.

 I will suggest :
Stop doubting your capabilities-->stop fearing with the word try--> step out-->Try--> achieve it.

Education Industry "A rising industry"
The Indian Education Industry is in its development stage. Current public spending on education in India is 3.5% of GDP. The Central government accounts for 15% of the total expenditure while state government accounts for 85%. Today India's literacy rate stands at 61%.
The number of junior basic schools are highest in the country & there is a strong need to set up higher secondary schools as well as colleges with a focus on IT education. The government has set up many ICT schools but still more than 50% of the market is untapped which shows an opportunity for private players. Trained teacher's & student's ratio is very low which claims the need of training institutes.

The Difference Between SEM and SEO

The Difference Between SEM and SEO

I have had many ask me what the difference between Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is, so I thought I might throw a couple of definitions out there.
I am going to start with SEO, as it is a part of SEM. SEO is the act of optimising the HTML and other content of your website for relevant, targeted key phrases in order to attain higher natural listings than competing websites. SEO provides a cheaper long term solution for increased qualified traffic and generates customer inquiries that ultimately convert to sales.
Now SEM is broader than SEO. It includes SEO and other areas to improve a sites visibility in search engine results pages, like paid listings and paid inclusions.
You can think of SEM as more expensive and quite possibly more targeted, while SEO is free (not counting your time of course) and its purpose is to obtain better free search listings.
Personally, I would start with SEO and then move onto SEM

Make your website work hard for you

Does your website generate business for you. Here are some ideas to help make your website work harder for you.

  • Display your telephone number on your homepage. Ideally, put it in the upper right-hand corner. Position your telephone number in the same place on every page of your site.

  • Display the words "E-mail us" on your home page, just below your telephone number. some people like to call, others like to write.

  • Cloak ' your e-mail address, using ASCII character code, to stop spam. This can be done by a web development agency.

  • Include meta tags within the HTML of your website. This helps search engines find you. Note, however that not all search engines find you.

  • Provide useful, interesting content for site visitors. If your site simply tells visitors how wonderful you are, they are less likely to visit it than if you put something interesting to read and to recommend to others. The key is to produce significant amounts of new material on an ongoing basis.

  • You should not feel shy by putting offers in the website. The aim of this game is to get response, and offers do the tricks.

  • Place a e-newsletter in the website

  • Produce information products. Examples include a hints & tips' list or a buyer's guide. Offer them as free downloads in exchange for the recipient's contact details.

  • Set up links to other sites. This is not as altrustic as it sounds. Some search engines will rank you higher if you provide outgoing links, so your site will be more visible. Also visiters will see that you have done your homework and will appreciate being recommended to useful sites.
